2020 OSEP Summit Postponed
The Attract, Prepare, Retain: OSEP National Summit on Improving Effective Personnel for Children with Disabilities has been postponed

OSEP Centers and Grants

The Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) is dedicated to enacting the vision of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) by improving results for infants, toddlers, children, and youth with disabilities ages birth through 21. To support this mission, OSEP distributes discretionary grants to institutions of higher education and other non-profit organizations to support research, demonstrations, technical assistance and dissemination, technology and personnel development, and parent-training and information centers.

See below for more about OSEP-funded centers and grants.

About OSEP Centers

OSEP funds over 50 centers to provide a diverse range of services and supports to special education stakeholders. These centers provide technical assistance (TA) services to families, schools, districts, and States.

OSEP has a new infographic that provides information about the OSEP technical assistance (TA) centers, which are funded under the following IDEA programs: Personnel Development Program; Technical Assistance and Dissemination (TA&D) Program; Educational Technology, Media, and Materials Program; Parent Training and Information Program; and the TA on State Data Collection Program.  The online PDF provides the names of each of the centers, links to their websites, and their focus areas.  This infographic can be used as an interactive PDF within the website or it can be printed on legal-sized paper.
