New Leveraging Briefs Series on Attract, Prepare, Retain Available Now!
The new leverage briefs are the culmination of OSEP’s Attract, Prepare, Retain: Effective Personnel for All Initiative and highlight 13 leverage points covering strategies recognized by various stakeholders as essential to addressing critical shortages in the special education workforce.
The program area pages were created to support OSEP grantees in conducting their work.
As authorized by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), the Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) supports discretionary grants to improve results for infants, toddlers, children and youth with disabilities. These grants are organized into eight program areas, each with specific purposes and performance measures.
If you are an OSEP grantee and do not know what your program area is, you can check your grant information against the CFDA numbers using the link below or contact your project officer.
For more information on the array of programs and projects supported by OSEP, please see description of OSEP-funded Programs and Projects.
